  • Telehealth can be useful for participants living outside our local service area, people with mobility or transport difficulties and participants who simply prefer online appointments.

  • Appointments can include nutrition assessment, education, personalised nutrition strategies, goal setting and ongoing reviews.

  • Telehealth appointments are available Australia wide.

Your first appointment gives your dietitian time to understand your nutrition needs, disability-related challenges, daily routines and personal goals.

The assessment may consider:

  • current food and fluid intake

  • medical and nutrition history

  • medications and relevant health information

  • appetite and eating patterns

  • sensory preferences or food aversions

  • ability to shop, prepare and cook food

  • nutritional adequacy and risk of malnutrition

  • gastrointestinal concerns where relevant

  • mealtime routines and support needs

  • your NDIS goals

  • current family, carer and support arrangements.

After the assessment, your dietitian will discuss suitable recommendations and the next steps with you.

Where required, our dietitians can prepare reports relating to your dietetic assessment, progress and ongoing nutrition support needs.

Depending on your circumstances, reports may include:

  • Initial assessment findings

A summary of relevant nutrition concerns, functional barriers and recommended nutrition strategies.

  • Progress reports

Information about the dietetic support provided, progress toward nutrition-related goals and outcomes achieved.

  • Plan reassessment reports

Where appropriate, a report outlining progress, ongoing disability-related nutrition needs and recommendations that may assist with an NDIS plan reassessment.

Important: Report preparation may require funded dietitian time. We will discuss this with you before preparing a report.

The 2026–27 NDIS pricing schedule specifically includes dietitian items for NDIA Requested Reports as well as direct service, telehealth, non-face-to-face work and provider travel.

  • Where appropriate, this may include:

  • Support coordinators updates about dietetic goals, progress and recommended supports.

  • Carers and support workers - practical guidance for implementing nutrition strategies.

  • Other health professionals - coordinated care where nutrition needs overlap with other clinical support.
